Endnote (ENG): Edit References

EDIT REFERENCES

Each output style (such as APA) provides certain aspects of a reference, but also has limitations. If you want to edit certain information but are bound by APA, for example, you can still edit certain information and keep the style. Publishers often require certain output styles.

There are special functions for adding text to references in the text. These functions apply only to author/date styles such as APA 7th.
They include things like adding text such as "see also", as well as adding page numbers.
Note: Do not make these changes directly (by adding text) in Word. They will disappear when you close and reopen the document.
Instead, use the menu and make your changes in the “EndNote Library”. Go to the option: “Edit & Manage Citation(s)”:

Prefix: is what is placed before the source citation
Suffix: is what is placed after the source citation
Pages: are specifically named pages in the source citation

The above changes result in:
text in article {See also Sarrami-Foroushani, Traviaglia, Debono, 2015, pp. 1230-1234 et al} .... text continues....

Note: don't forget to enter a space after the prefix, before the suffix.
Adding page numbers does not work for all styles. If it doesn't work this way, use Suffix to add page numbers.
That way, you have to type exactly what you want, for example, "[comma][space]p. 136"
