Organizing your library
- In the left menu you will find groups: These are groups/folders within a library, possibly organized into subgroups. References can be included in multiple groups. You can also create Smart Groups. All references meeting certain criteria will be added there (e.g. all references after 20xx, all references with keyword X, etc.).
Adding your own information to references
- Double-click on a reference to edit it.
- keywords: this field often already contains keywords that are automatically imported when you import a title. You can edit/delete keywords or add to them. research notes: this field allows you to add your own comments to a reference. The notes field is less suitable for this purpose; it often already contains information that was automatically included when adding the reference to your library....
Automatically add information and full text.
- Not all the references you add are complete or up-to-date. You can easily improve your literature references. Select all the titles you want to update and go to References -> Find Reference Updates.
- You can have EndNote search for the full text of publications and add them to your library. Go to References -> Find Full Text.
