Installation

- Staff 
Staff with a HAN laptop can download the program through the company portal (go to Start - All Apps - Company Portal).
Don’t have a HAN laptop? Download the installation file on Insite (medewerkers). 
- Students
- Students can use the installation files on Insite (students).
- HAN desktops
EndNote is available on all desktops at HAN. Log in to EndNote Online and sync with the EndNote app on the desktop. How does this work? You can read about that here...
 

THE FIRST TIME...

Create a library in EndNote via File -> New.
You can create and use multiple libraries, but usually that’s not the most convenient. Preferably include all references in one library. Within that library, you can then create groups or add features.

Note!
1. Do not store this library in OneDrive, Google Drive or other Cloud Services, but on the hard drive of your laptop/PC. This way you optimize the speed of EndNote and avoid problems.
2. Make a backup (preferably to another drive). This can be done simply via File - Save a copy.
An EndNote library automatically creates a .DATA directory for files associated with the library. If you are backing up the library through Windows, you must copy this .DATA directory as well.
